Spokane Just Got Sweeter:
Watch out Spokane, there is a new trendy bakery on the horizon! It is called miFlavour. Sitting down with owners and married couple, Ella and Maximus, you can tell the energy and passion the dynamic duo has for this bakery. Ella is the Executive Pastry Chef who is the mastermind behind a variety of impressive products. Her baking style is clean and contemporary. With just your eyes, you are already in for a treat. The small details on Ella’s pastries invite you in for a sneak preview of what you are about to experience next. Being a macaron fanatic, I am not lying when I say these macarons were out of this world. Ella has definitely perfected the macaron. Her macarons, called miMacarons, are delicate, yet they provide a crunchy exterior followed by a chewy texture as you bite down. Aside from macarons, you can find cakes, mousses, cookies, and tarts (to name a few). Be prepared to be in awe of Ella’s out of the box pastries, I sure was!
Each miMacaron I tasted was nothing short of delicious. But, there were two standouts that had me wishing I had more! The first was Esme, which is a macaron filled with homemade strawberry jam and Italian butter cream. The second was Willow, which is filled with homemade pistachio diplomat cream and pistachio Italian butter cream. I will be raving about these macarons for quite some time!
